Rare 'Elda' armchair by Joe Colombo.


c1970s, Italy.


Leather cushions over a fibreglass frame.


It rotates on a swivel.


The chair was created by Cesare "Joe" Colombo (1930-71), an Italian artist-turned-industrial-designer known for his retro-futuristic works.


In very good condition with the occasional mark and small evidence of wear to the leather.


The piece made its feature-film debut in the 1977 James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me and remained a design classic ever since.


Dimensions: 92 D x 96 W x 105 Total Height in cm. Seat Height of 40 cm.
